This writing aims to determine the application of Tri Hata Karana
customary regulations as the basis for implementing Environmental Law
in Penglipuran Village, Bangli Regency, Bali Province. The research
method used is Juridical Empirical. The approach method used is the
observation of existing customary regulations combined with statutory
regulations. Tri Hita Karana is a reflection or reflection of the values of
Pancasila in a culture or teachings in Indonesian society which include
atashyangan (harmonious relations that take place between humans and
God), pawongan (harmonious relations between humans and fellow
human beings), and paleahan (harmonious relations between humans and
God). between humans and nature). The awig-awig are written and
unwritten rules made by villagers (krama desa) with the aim of regulating
the order of their daily life. It is local wisdom which is a strong foundation
in good management of natural resources and the environment. Awigawig of Penglipuran village regulates things like house layout, felling of
trees as a form of environmental preservation, waste management, and
other programs. These regulations are adhered to in order to preserve the
ancestral heritage as well as contain magical values which are still
believed by the villagers.
